Executive Director Position Opening:

The United States Hockey Hall of Fame Museum (USHHFM) located in Eveleth, MN, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Executive Director, with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2011. Opening in 1973, the USHHFM is the designated "National Shrine of American Hockey" that pays tribute to the legends of the game and preserves the history of hockey in the United States.

Job duties include extensive marketing and public relations; event coordination; overseeing day to day operations of the Hall and supervising Hall staff; working directly with the Board of Directors and Executive Committee; coordinating and overseeing implementation of Board/Executive Committee directives and decisions; budgeting; and grant writing.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business management, sports management, administration or related fields. Applicant should demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills. Applicant should demonstrate experience in marketing and public relations. A background and interest in hockey are preferred but not necessarily required.

Starting Annual Salary: $40,000 to $45,000, depending on qualifications.
